Michelle Haloossim, MPH

Michelle Haloossim is currently a doctoral candidate in Chinese Medicine (DAOM) at Emperor’s
College of Traditional Oriental Medicine. Her studies are focused on integrating traditional and
allopathic paradigms to understand and treat physical and emotional illness. Michelle received
her Bachelors in Medical Anthropology and French (BA) from Emory University. She received
her Masters in Public Health in Social Science Research (MPH) from Columbia University
where she was involved in extensive academic research. She is a published author on several
academic articles and textbooks focused on the genetic, epigenetic and environmental
implications of physical and psychiatric illness. She has extensive experience with communitybased
public health interventions and evaluation.
